Sundeals Review 2026: Is TUI’s New Budget Holiday Site Legit?

Sundeals launched in the UK in August 2026 with a simple promise: cheap sun holidays, booked online, with deposits from just £30 per person. But is it actually good value once you add everything you need? And can you trust a brand nobody had heard of a few months ago?
In this Sundeals review we tested the full booking process with a real holiday search, read the small print so you don’t have to, and worked out what a Sundeals holiday really costs.
Sundeals review: quick verdict
Sundeals is a legitimate, ATOL-protected booking site backed by TUI, one of Europe’s biggest travel companies. Headline prices are genuinely low, but they only cover flights and your hotel. Once you add hold luggage and transfers, expect to pay around a quarter more. It’s a strong choice for flexible travellers who pack light, less so for families or anyone who might need to cancel.

What is Sundeals?
Sundeals is a new budget holiday brand from TUI Group, launched in the UK in August 2026. Unlike classic TUI packages, it combines hotels with flights from a range of airlines, including TUI, easyJet and Ryanair, so you get more choice of departure times and airports.
The platform offers around 20,000 hotels in more than 100 destinations, with Spain, Greece and Turkey as the main focus. It’s sold online only: you can’t book Sundeals through a high-street travel agent. Customer service is digital too, with live chat, phone and email support.
Is Sundeals legit and safe to book?
Yes. Sundeals is a trading name of TUI Deutschland GmbH, part of TUI Group, and the website is run by TUI UK Retail Limited on its behalf. Your contract is governed by English law.
Most importantly, all flight-inclusive holidays are protected under TUI’s ATOL licence (number 12950). That means if the company went bust before or during your trip, you’d get your money back or be brought home. You’ll receive an ATOL Certificate after booking – check that everything you booked is listed on it.

One thing worth knowing: if your flight is with a third-party airline like easyJet, your booking becomes a so-called “Multi-Contract Package”. Your flight contract is technically with the airline, but Sundeals remains responsible for your holiday as a whole.
Our test: what a Sundeals holiday really costs
To see how pricing works in practice, we searched for a week of winter sun in Tenerife:
- Hotel: Iberostar Waves Bouganville Playa, Costa Adeje (4★), bed & breakfast
- Dates: 26 November – 3 December 2026, 7 nights
- Flights: easyJet, London Gatwick to Tenerife South, direct (around 4.5 hours each way)
- Travellers: 2 adults, 1 room
- Searched on: 30 September 2026
The headline price was £722.82 per person (£1,445.64 in total), including mandatory fees and taxes. For a four-star seafront hotel with direct flights in late November, that’s a competitive starting point.
What’s included – and what isn’t
The base price covers your flights and hotel. Each passenger gets one small under-seat bag. Some airlines also include a larger overhead cabin bag, so check your airline’s rules before you pack.

The realistic total
Here’s what our holiday would cost with a 23kg case each and a shared transfer:

That’s around 27% more than the headline price. It doesn’t make Sundeals bad value – most budget holiday sites work this way – but it’s the number you should compare, not the price in the advert.
Our tip: Before adding bags at Sundeals, check what the airline charges directly. According to Sundeals’ terms, you can add extra bags or seats directly with the airline after booking, as long as it doesn’t change your flight time or date. Depending on the airline and route, this may work out cheaper.
How the £30 deposit really works
Sundeals advertises deposits from £30 per person, and that’s true – but only if you book far enough ahead. There are three payment options:
Low deposit (£30pp) – for holidays at least 59 days away:
- Booking more than 90 days ahead: £30pp now, a further £120pp 28 days later, and the balance 30 days before departure.
- Booking 59–90 days ahead: £30pp now, a further £120pp 45 days before departure, and the balance 30 days before departure.
Full deposit (£150pp) – for holidays at least 31 days away, with the balance due 30 days before departure.
Pay in full – always available, and your only option if you’re travelling within 31 days.
In our test, the holiday was 57 days away, so the £30 deposit wasn’t available. We’d have paid a £150pp deposit (£300 in total) and the balance by 27 October.
Two more things to know: if you choose the low deposit and then cancel, you still have to pay the rest of the deposit. And only credit and debit cards issued in the UK are accepted (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), as well as Apple Pay.

Changes and cancellations: read this before you book
This is where Sundeals is at its strictest.
If you cancel, you pay a £100 per person admin fee plus any costs Sundeals can’t recover from hotels and airlines. In the worst case, that can mean paying for the whole holiday.
If you make changes, fees include £30pp for a name change and £50 per booking to change your hotel, room type or board basis – plus any charges from the airline or hotel. No changes are possible within 15 days of departure. If someone else wants to take your place, you need to tell Sundeals at least a week before you travel.
Because of these terms, good travel insurance with cancellation cover is essential – and Sundeals requires everyone travelling to have insurance anyway.
The booking process
Booking is straightforward. After choosing a hotel, you move through four clear tabs – Hotel, Flights, Luggage and Transfers – with a running price and breakdown on the right-hand side. You can switch to one of several alternative flights (in our test there were six), and extras are clearly marked with prices before you commit.
A few small print points: your booking confirmation can take up to two weeks to arrive, a local tourist tax may be payable at your hotel, and flight times are for guidance only until you receive your e-ticket.
Customer service and reviews
Sundeals offers live chat, phone and email support, with a UK-based team. At the time of writing, there’s only one review on Trustpilot. That’s simply because the brand is so new – it’s too early to judge customer service on reviews. We’ll update this section as more come in.
How does Sundeals compare?
Sundeals competes with established budget package sites such as loveholidays and On the Beach, as well as TUI’s own brand. Its biggest strengths are the TUI backing and the wide choice of airlines. Where it currently falls short is the strict cancellation policy and the lack of a track record.
Who is Sundeals best for?
A great fit if you:
- Travel light and are happy with a small under-seat bag
- Book well ahead and want to spread the cost with a low deposit
- Are flexible on flight times and airlines
- Are confident your plans won’t change
Maybe not ideal if you:
- Are travelling as a family with lots of luggage
- Might need to cancel or change your plans

Overall, our Sundeals review shows a trustworthy new option for budget sun holidays, with the safety net of TUI and ATOL protection behind it. Its headline prices are genuinely attractive, but always compare the final price including luggage and transfers, and think carefully about the strict cancellation terms before you book.
